| Family, Business or Other Gathering? Have It at the Canfield Fair! |
Many people consider the Canfield Fair to be a homecoming for friends and family, and each year travel hundreds of miles to be part of the festivities. Businesses, whether local, regional or national, also recognize the drawing power of the Fair, and the value of having a presence there.
The Fair has become one of the best-loved events at summer’s end, with six days of wholesome entertainment, thrilling rides, exciting displays and the world’s best food. This makes The Canfield Fair a “natural” setting for class or family reunions, church or company Picnics — any event at which a group of people gather for fun and fellowship. |
Why not consider making the Canfield Fair the site of your event this year? Our Fair Vantage program offers packages for groups of varying sizes that provide not only a location to host your event, but many additional Fair-related perks. There are several levels of participation in the Fair Vantage program: 10–35 people, 36–50, 51–75 and 76–100. The program is based on one day’s usage, though multiple-day programs are also available. Your group’s package will include a tent appropriately sized to the number of people you expect, as well as:

| Vindicator Editor Returns as Food Judge for the Fair’s Culinary Competition |
Last year, bon vivant, gourmand and overall good sport Todd Franko — the editor of The Vindicator — served as celebrity judge for the Canfield Fair’s “One Day Special Event,” a culinary competition for which contestants submit a dish based on a common ingredient. As can be seen in this video, Todd appeared to not only survive an afternoon of sampling hundreds of spinach dishes, but thrive upon it. We’re happy to announce that he’s coming back again to judge this year’s event. For 2010, Todd will be donning his tropical duds in line with this year’s contest theme, “Pineapple Possibilities.” The One Day Special Event takes place Friday, September 3 at 1:15 p.m. at the Hay and Grain Building. |
If you want to submit a dish for this year’s One Day Special Event, contact the Fair office at 330-533-4107. |
